Teach With East English Company

Teach English. Help someone find their voice.

If you believe good English is about clarity, confidence and communication, rather than copying someone else's accent, we'd like to hear from you.

East English Company is building a network of teachers who can help learners use English in the situations that actually matter to them: conversations, work, study, travel and everyday life.

Learner-centred Communication first Your teaching personality matters
Why Teach With Us?

English is a skill people should be able to use.

We want lessons to feel purposeful, practical and human. Teachers are there to create the conditions for learners to think, experiment, communicate and grow.

💬

Teach for communication

Help learners say what they mean, understand others and participate confidently.

🧭

Be the Sherpa

Guide the route, explain difficult terrain and let the learner do the climbing.

🌱

Build confidence

Create a space where mistakes become part of learning rather than something to fear.

🎯

Teach what matters

Connect lessons to the learner's goals, context, work and everyday communication.

🧠

Make language discoverable

Help learners notice patterns and understand why language works, not just memorise rules.

🇮🇳

Respect the learner's identity

Clear English does not require learners to erase their accent, culture or personality.

Who We'd Love to Hear From

Good teachers are more than a certificate.

CELTA and other recognised English-teaching qualifications are valuable, but we also want to understand how you teach, how you work with learners and what you can bring to the classroom.

Qualified or experienced English educators CELTA, DELTA, CertTESOL, TEFL/TESOL, education qualifications or relevant teaching experience are all welcome in the application.
Learner-centred teachers You create lessons around learner needs rather than turning every class into a lecture.
Confident communicators You can explain clearly, listen carefully, give useful feedback and adapt when a learner needs a different route.
Reliable professionals You prepare well, show up consistently and treat learners' time, goals and privacy with respect.
