Teach for communication
Help learners say what they mean, understand others and participate confidently.
If you believe good English is about clarity, confidence and communication, rather than copying someone else's accent, we'd like to hear from you.
East English Company is building a network of teachers who can help learners use English in the situations that actually matter to them: conversations, work, study, travel and everyday life.
We want lessons to feel purposeful, practical and human. Teachers are there to create the conditions for learners to think, experiment, communicate and grow.
Help learners say what they mean, understand others and participate confidently.
Guide the route, explain difficult terrain and let the learner do the climbing.
Create a space where mistakes become part of learning rather than something to fear.
Connect lessons to the learner's goals, context, work and everyday communication.
Help learners notice patterns and understand why language works, not just memorise rules.
Clear English does not require learners to erase their accent, culture or personality.
CELTA and other recognised English-teaching qualifications are valuable, but we also want to understand how you teach, how you work with learners and what you can bring to the classroom.
We want enough information to understand your experience and teaching approach without turning the application into an exam.
Share your qualifications, teaching experience, areas of interest and availability.
We look at your teaching background and whether your approach aligns with how East English Company wants learners to learn.
If there is a potential fit, we'll contact you to discuss teaching approach, availability and the next stage.
We care about qualifications, but we also care about the teacher behind them. Use this application to give us a clear picture of your experience and approach.
A few useful points about the teacher application.
No single qualification is assumed on this application. You can tell us about CELTA, DELTA, CertTESOL, TEFL/TESOL, education qualifications or relevant teaching experience.
Yes. The application lets you indicate online, in-person or hybrid teaching preferences so we can understand what type of teaching may suit you.
Your application is reviewed for experience, teaching approach and potential fit. If there is a suitable next step, East English Company can contact you using the details you provide.
The current form asks for an optional link to a CV, LinkedIn profile or professional page rather than uploading a document directly.
Good teaching gives learners more than correct answers. It gives them the confidence and independence to keep using the language after the lesson is over.
